Description

Spanish chorizo made with Ibérico pork: deep red, warm with paprika, sliced and ready for the board.

At a glance

  • Meat: Ibérico pork
  • Seasoning: paprika and spices
  • Made in: Guijuelo (Salamanca), by Jamones Aljomar
  • Pack: 100 g, sliced
  • Allergens: contains milk; gluten-free according to the producer
  • Keeps: 12 months unopened, refrigerated

Paprika is what makes chorizo chorizo: it gives the deep red colour and the warmth you notice from the first bite. Made with Ibérico pork, the slices have a softer, richer fat than ordinary chorizo and stay supple instead of dry.

Guijuelo, where it is made, sits high in the hills of Salamanca. Its cold, dry winters are the reason the town has cured pork for generations.

Serve & share

Serve at 20 to 24 °C with bread and olives, or warm the slices in a dry pan for a few seconds until the fat glistens. Good for tapas, sandwiches and on top of eggs.
